This is going to be the best summer yet!

Beautiful weather, and the pohutukawa overhanging the swimming hole is the most colourful ever.  We've been swimming already - everyday this week.  The water is so warm and clear.  Have had some lovely guests so far this season - and really nice to have so many repeat visitors.

YAAA School Holidays

Great weather today and it bodes well for the rest of the holidays. Even though Labour Weekend is the "official" start of the "season" we have already opened up our cottages and you will find some fresh changes - a new colour paint on our one bedroom cottage, redecorated second bedroom in the two bedroom cottage and lots of beautiful colour in the gardens.

Great Queen's Birthday Weekend

The weather forecasters certainly got it wrong, as we had a fantastic weekend. Lots of lovely guests who enjoyed the fishing, tramping and exploring the Thames Coast. The stream may be too cold for swimming in June, but it is still great for skipping stones!

Beautiful weather marks official end of the "Season"

We had a very busy Easter week with lovely guests from the UK, Australia, Romania, Ireland, USA and of course New Zealand. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves ad certainly the weather was a bonus. Thank you to Robyn for the lovely photos shown on this post.
We hope everyone is settling into autumn and we look forward to seeing the New Zealanders again this winter when you come for a weekend break. The chalets are especially cozy in winter with heaters, electric blankets and a cup of coffee in the "sun spot" on our sheltered deck.
Thank you very much for staying with us. We hope to see you again.

ps - don't forget - return guests get a discount!

January ends with a fabulous Anniversary Weekend

Thanks to everyone for making our summer so fantastic. The weather has always been the best, but we have had a string of lovely guests. You made our summer really interesting and fun. Thanks for coming. (and don't forget, return visitors get a discount on their stay). Here is a picture of a couple of our guests enjoying the shady spot by the river.

Thanks for the feedback, Christine

Kathryn, the antipasto platter was outstanding with home-made chutneys, hand-made fish cakes and salads from your own garden that would rival anything Ponsonby Rd has to offer.

Lovely Warm and Clear New Year's Eve

The storm has passed and the Thames Coast is ready to welcome back summer. Shame we cancelled our annual New Year's Eve BBQ - as the weather has turned perfect.
