You may have heard about the storm damage caused by Cyclone Wilma here on the Coromandel Peninsula. Te Mata Lodge was not completely spared, and we had a flood which came up nearly to the parking area - the highest water in over 10 years. But as you can see from the photos, things are looking better than ever after just one week (and a considerable about of shoveling and wheelbarrowing). The Thames Coast Road is open, and we fully open for business. Autumn is our best season, and we are looking forward to welcoming back old friends and meeting our new guests.
